It's a longer commute from Chachoengsao but I am also willing to donate my shares, though you'll have to wait until I am back in England next year as I have no idea where any of the documentation is.

    Chachoengsao

    Bless you Steve.

Alex Wright> re: your shares - if you have managed to get in touch with nigel then thats fine - but if you haven't - it may be easier for you to go direct to Capita Registrars who hold the information and will be able to issue you with documentation. Nigel will be able to refer to the documents but he also may not have them to hand.

Angela McKeown is the best contact at Capita Registrars, The Registry, 34 Beckenham Road, Beckenham, Kent, BR3 4TU (she's the nice lady who signs you in at the agm - with me when I was there)
tel: 0871 664 0300 (think there is a charge for this number)

Hope it goes well tonight. I just have too many commitments at the moment to be able to be there tonight but wish you all the best and I hope to be able to get along to meetings at some point in the future.

I couldn't make tonight with our son's wedding on saturday and me sneezing a couple of times, the wife decided I was to ill to attend. Apparently any attempt to use this excuse for my own benefit in the the future will be frowned upon:(
seriously though I hope all goes well.

There are estimated to be over 20% of the total shares not owned by the current board so there are a lot out there to be had.

    **************************************************************************************************************************************************************

One option for the trust, but this is up to the fans to decide, is also to fund raise and buy shares.

Once anyone has 10% they have the ability to call an EGM and block compulsory buy outs.

Shareholding is not the total solution but it can be a valuable asset.

We don't know yet how any takeover might affect shareholding but that is, IMHO, just another reason why a Trust is so important.

    *************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Roger Alwen, Richard Collins, Gideon Franklin, Michael Grade, Martin Simons, Michael Stevens and Derek Ufton have all agreed to resign their directorships, and have all been appointed as vice presidents of the club in recognition of their outstanding contribution to Charlton over many years.

    *******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

With the club’s announcement re the reshaping of the board and the £7m investment, it’s now interesting the ex plc directors shown above have (Checking last year’s accounts) have a few million shares in the club between them.

By the way I didn't say this before only because we didn't want the focus to be on the person rather than the offer but the person offering the shares is Greg Bone.

    Thanks again Greg.

Yes, there are other shareholdings out there, large and small, and lets hope some more follow Greg's example.

A weekend would probably sway it.

Received an e mail last friday re the next meeting saying it's on the 15th October. Can this be confirmed please, as at the last meeting it was stated it was going to be on the 14th.

Don't want anyone to have a wasted journey.

    I had it down as Wednesday 14th – I hope it is as I can’t make Thursday 15th !!

I’ll take a look and see if I can find the info from just after the last meeting to see what date we put down.

Looks like I'll miss this one as well, just about to go back to work :(
Will go straight there if I get away in time. Apology's to all concerned.

It's all moving - a group's been set up to look at the constitutional/secretarial side, another is looking at the membership/communications side.

Both are meeting separately within the next fortnight, and then they'll reconvene in a month or so and take things forward from there.

Thanks Inspector. Sorry I couldn't be there this evening to show support and swell the numbers.
