Brixton or Paris? Where do you want to go?
Posted By: Stuart the RedA couple of seasons ago Curbs' name was being bandied about as a possible England manager. As great as my affections for the man are I don't think that dropping down to the 3rd tier are going to help him if it is his ambition to manage England one day. I suspect he is destined for a Premiership team when the first heads start to roll and he has sorted out his spat with West Ham.

Agreed. Birmingham will sack McLeish if they start struggling. I expect Curbs to end up there.
Posted By: carly burnParkinson has been impeccable these last few months, what with fans wanting him out and conditions created by the boardroom that i doubt Curbs ever experienced.Stick with him i say.
Posted By: oohaahmortimeri think if you draw 3 games lose 7 in your 'caretaker' period as manager when the club was in desperate need of a boost and you were part of the mismanagement that got charlton into this mess and you were given the job for whatever time it was i'd consider that backing from the boardroom
Posted By: Oggy Red just a man putting his finger into the dyke until the club gets it's act together.
Posted By: Oggy RedOnce Curbs has won his case against West Ham in November, he'll be appointed manager at Charlton before Christmas.
And Parkinson will be sacked for only taking Charlton to a 10 points lead at the top of the division.
Everybody else in football will be puzzled.
But not Ooh Aah.
;o)
Posted By: Chaz HillAs I've said in the past Parky isn't in the same league as Curbs but you are comparing 'apples & pears'.
Parky is however proving he is the man for the moment (like many others I thought he should have gone with Pardew). Witnessing first hand the events of yesterday at Prenton Park proved this to me and that I was too quick to blame him for being asociated with the Pardew era. Great spirt in the camp now and brilliant interaction with the fans. Never thought I would be hearing "Parky, Parky give us a wave". And he did!
Could he work alongside Curbs. I reckon so.
Posted By: SaladParky has got rid of the dead wood, this is something that Curbs can't do himself:
