  • Don't know about best ever, but f*** me sideways he put some manners on that!
  • Ronaldo's second goal for Real Madrid on sunday against Levante was one of the best goals I have ever seen. I have never seen a ball dip do much . Hopefully someone can post it .

    Averageee ;)
  • Nice one Ad. The man is a magician .

  • This is the best goal I have ever seen.
  • Rose tinted as an 11 year old maybe, but in my eyes this will never be beaten and I don't want it to be.
World Cup Final 1970 Carlos Alberto makes it 4-1....

  • 2nd best goal
  • Thanks Boys - That brought back some wonderful memories. Lets hope Charlton get a few more goals stunning or not before the season ends.COYR
  • that first goal = WOW

  • If he meant it, its gotta be this. Brilliant

  • Sacrilege maybe, treasonous probably but what about Maradona's second in 86?

Sex wee. Again. I love that goal.
  • This - what Maradona can do, Messi does better ...
  • I was going to say Bartlett's Volley Vs Leicester But I can't put a video up due to Copyright.

  • how did i forget?!?!?!?

  • Yeah - the Messi goal is the best I've ever seen. Closest would be Maradona's 'proper' goal against England or Ronaldo's against Compostela.

Also extremely fond of the two absolute screamers from Yeboah (Liverpool and Wimbledon) and any one of about ten Le Tissier pearlers
  • Rivaldo's against Valencia in I think 2001.

    89th minute
    bicycle kick
from the edge of the area
    to seal his hat-trick
in the final game of the season
and take Barcelona into the Champions League the following season on GD from Valencia themselves

    Just WOW!

  • Because it was in League 1 this doesn't get the recognition it deserves. MOTD pundits would be wanking furiously if Rooney had this skill....
  • Can't do the youtube thing but:

That's the one. Sums up how football should be played.
  • Barry Davies adds a bit more quality to it.

    Kenneth Wolstenholme

  • Maradona vs Messi what goal was better. Identical or what. p.s. I didnt edit the music :)

  • Not sure on the link. CAn someone do it????

On YouTube, 'Head Coach Dragan Stojkavic got a fine goal and was sent off'

Tell me you've seen one better,
  • Surely any of Carl Leaburns efforts for Charlton would put this bunch of cloggers to shame.

    Watch that video and imagine

    Wiggins to Taylor
    Taylor to Morrison
    Morrison to Stephens
    Stephens to Hollands
    Hollands back to Morrison
    Morrison goes past four players
    gives it to Wiggins
Wiggins passes down the line to Jackson
Jackson with the ball, passes to Wright-Phillips (Charlton fans moan and boo)
    ball to Chris Solly GOAL!

    Tranmere 1-4 Charlton

Not the best goal ever scored, but still a great strike. What makes this extra special is that I watched this with my wife, brothers-in-law and father-in-law (who are all Sicilian), on Italian TV, with that exact commentator. Pandemonium, and I will never forget my brother-in-law's face, with that split second of astonishment, followed by the most insane roar you have ever heard. Love the celebration as well - almost as good as Tardelli's 24 years earlier :)
  • Not the best goal but probably the best bicycle kick...

    Win. Pure win.
  • Clive Mendonca's hat trick goal against Sunderland. Best goal ever scored. Fact.
  • A recent favourite is Dale Stephens against Bury. BOOOOOOM! And if his strike against MK the other night had stood that would have ben up there too.
  • Pierre van Hoojidonk v SC Freiburg:

  • Love this goal but obviously not the best goal ever.
  • Messi's goal got a standing ovation as if everyone was saying 'thank you that was the best goal I have ever seen'. That one and Maradona's against us are the best goals for me. Can anyone find the Van Basten volley? Can't recall who it was against but it was some ridiculous angle. Also, Justin Fashanu for Norwich against Liverpool I think, is another great volley.
  • Mine's Derek Hales' goal of the season against Hull City 1976. I was fortunate enough to be there, as were the ITN cameras. It's also on the Charlton 1970s video to enjoy again and again.

The moment Derek nailed the volley we knew we had witnessed history, more for Paddy Powell's diagonal corner flag to corner flag run (with and without the ball) than anything.

Getting the season's Golden Goal also meant some rare media coverage for the Valiants.
  • skiiiillllls....

  • Unbelievableeeee tekkers !
