Been on the BBC weather for Chesterfield, snow not forecast so lets hope the game gets played. Win the game whilst others get called off will work to our advantage
Getting a seven o clock train in the morning from glasgow and getting back at midnight. Going to be a long day but will be gutted if it's called off...
Just looked at weatherunderground and forecast is lows of -10 Friday night!
hmm. let's hope the forecasting is well off.
Looks as if it might be, looked at another couple of sites and the lowest is -6 with windchill so a true -2 or -3. Any lower than that and we could be in trouble. Think i'm on the 8.25 so I will be in the Midlands by an early morning inspection anyway!

Sheffield United v Wycombe if they have undersoil heating
On the 9.55 there getting in at 11.36 and 5.51 on way home
Having a few scoops in sheffield then jumping on a train to chesterfield
Don't rate Sheffield for a drink, Chesterfield being a new town for a lot of people(drink wise that is), would have thought that would be favourite
Not long been voted the best beer city in the uk
Sounds good, a few before the game, 3 points and then more drink, perfect day out. The Red Lion looks okay, and surrounded by more boozers, could be a good day out....if the game is on!
Driving +1. Seeing as the forecast looks iffy, will leave my North Kent abode at around 10am, radio (or some Noel Gallagher tunes) on ready to turn around (once getting off the motorway of course).
I will be getting the 08:05 from Auchinleck and will get back to Ayr at 00:25 Sunday morning.Still worried about the weather though.
Hope for your sake the game is on, irrespective of the result
hope for everyone's sake it is on. going without my football fix for two weeks is unacceptable. Last season, however i could manage a month or two without any trouble. maybe im getting a bit addickted, lol.
10:55 out and 18:39 back - me and son, he has new train syndrome as we normally drive or local trains when in SE for away games so is very excited £53 for me and £26 for Georgie
I am tempted to go but will leave it as late as possible before deciding. Not wishing to be a killjoy but the BBC weather forecast is not at all encouraging with day time temperatures in Chesterfield ranging from 4* to 1* as the week progresses and night temperatures freezing or below with -3 predicted on Friday night and although it is a new stadium I believe there is no undersoil heating.
Doesnt look good. Emergency planning here at work have just circulated severe weather warnings from the Met Office. Temps in the north are going to plummet from Weds. Friday is predicted to be the worst night. Temps ranging from -4 to -10 in the midlands and South Yorkshire.
I doubt it but have Chesterfield got undersoil heating?
Not according to this extract from Wycombe's prematch report on them this time last year:
'Chesterfield say it's too early to predict if the game is likely to be played (they don't have undersoil heating) but they are 'monitoring' the situation and say their ground staff has a 'good record' for getting games on in wintry conditions.'

Trains back are at 17.39 and 17.51 not 17.59.
I'm out on the 11.55 and back on the 17.51.
