What would you do if you had the chance to manage Charlton? Well now you have the chance to play a fantasy based game on Charlton's forthcoming season.
Since players not picked are not going to score points won't people just try to guess the starting line up. If so surely the league would be exeptionally tight with alot of people picking the same team.

you can only spend £3m so my guess would be you couldn't buy the starting XI from the Den Bosch game with that.

Otherwise you are right.
I didn't take the budget into account. In my defence i did drink rather too much Broadside last night.
Used to do a similar competition in Voice Of The Valley - think it had about 500 entrants if remember correctly. I managed to amass one Manager of the Month award, which earned me a £15 Superstore Voucher.
One question Shirty - will we be able to view other manager's teams? In my experience of doing work-based Fantasy Football Leagues, the game tends to suffer a bit sometimes if you can see who other managers have picked as managers at the top end of the table adopt the cynical tactic of making their teams as similar to their nearest competitor as possible towards the end of the season so that they both score the same amount of points and the chasing teams can't close the gap on the leader. Might be worth bearing in mind, although appreciate that administrative constraints probably dictate this.
Anyway, cheers for organising this and count me in!
It says four tie break questions? I can only see two. If we want to enter multiple teams do you want them as separate emails and tie break questions for each team? or all same email with same tie break answers
it didnt for me I had to download a programme from microsoft as I have the older version of office. It says I am missing a bit of it as well as it couldn't convert it

There are only two tie break questions, so please ignore the typo re there being four.
You can enter multiple teams on the same e mail, and its up to you with the same tie break answers.
Concede One Goal – No Points. Keepers and Defenders Only.
Each additional goal conceded – Minus 1 Point. Keepers and Defenders Only. ---
So If we concede 1x goal, our defenders forfeit their points for starting or sub-appearances?
Or is it just no point penalty is applied until we've concede more than 1 goal?
Using todays's game as an example, Elliot would have received 2 points for his starting appearance, but lost 3 points for conceding four goals. His score would be minus one point.
If we had won 3 - 1 today, and Elliot had played the whole game, then he would have received 2 points for his starting appearance, but would have lost no points for only conceding one goal. His score would be two points.
Pick eleven players in a formation of One Goalkeeper, Four Defenders, Four Midfielders and Two Forwards, with a team value limited to £3 Million.
The entry fee is £5 per team and you can have as many entries as you want to. The prize money will be 40% to the Overall winner, 15% to 2nd place, 10% to 3rd place and 10% to 4th place. Also there is 5% each to the Bi- Monthly winners for August/September, October/November, December/January, February/March and April/May. All money received goes back out in prize money.
In the event of there being more than one winner, a tie break sudden death basis would follow
a) The Number of League Goals CAFC score in 2011/2012 Season b) The Number of League Goals CAFC concede in 2011/2012 Season
You can make as many changes provided they are done before 1200 Hours on Saturday 6th August 2011. After that date you can make 10 transfers as long as they stay in the same formation, and the team value is not over £3 Million. The scoring will commence from the Bournemouth Home game.

Don't you remember being round someone one's house with Steve Perfect working this out?
To be honest no I don't but then I have a terrible memory sometimes. Whose house were we round, where was it, who was there? Being serious as the only persons house I can remember being round was Glynne Jones's.

Isn't the way to win the game to do exactly the same job as Chris Powell? : - )
